I came to Luohu, Shenzhen to stroll through the old neighborhoods and casually booked Guangdong Hotel Shenzhen that had been open for many years. Originally, I only wanted it to be close to the subway station, but after staying for two whole days, I realized that the accommodation experience of this old hotel was not supported by hardware at all. Every detail was hidden with the unique charm of old Shenzhen.
The first impression when I opened the door was "just right", without overly piled up internet celebrity decorations or the old-fashioned feeling commonly seen in old hotels. A widened storage platform has been specially designed at the entrance, allowing a 28 inch suitcase to be completely spread out on top, eliminating the need to squat on the ground to tidy up and change laundry. The hanging area next to it has reserved enough space, even the long windbreaker I brought with me can be hung completely without wrinkling due to limited space. The most considerate feature is the induction light in the foyer. When returning to the room late at night, there is no need to search for the switch in the dark. It automatically lights up as soon as someone approaches, and the light is soft and not dazzling.
The most surprising thing is the rest area by the window. The 1.4-meter widened solid wood table is backed by double-layer soundproof glass, completely isolating the hustle and bustle of Shennan Avenue. It is neatly arranged from 65W fast charging heads to gigabit Ethernet ports, and even the adapter for old equipment is placed in the desktop storage box. At night, facing the night view of the old city outside the window, the adjustable warm light desk lamp shines just on the paper without any glaring reflections. The fabric sofa next to it has a slightly hard support filling, so you can sit in and read for an afternoon without feeling back pain. There is also an invisible cup holder hidden on the armrest, so you don't have to worry about spilling the freshly bought hot milk tea.
The bedroom experience far exceeded expectations. The two meter large bed is designed with a layered mattress, with a hard bottom layer to protect the waist and a sufficiently fluffy surface layer. As someone who loves beds all year round, I can sleep until dawn with a pillow. There are independent control panels on both sides of the bed, which can control the lighting and curtains of the whole house without getting up. The USB charging ports on the left and right sides completely solve the embarrassment of two people fighting for sockets. The shading effect of the double-layer blackout curtain is fully extended, and even the morning light cannot penetrate when pulled up, so you won't be disturbed when you want to sleep in.
The details of the bathroom are even more impeccable. The shower area has a sunken dry wet separation, and the floor is covered with frosted anti slip tiles, so there is no need to worry about slipping when stepping on it. The water from the top spray is a dense flow of water, and the whole process of constant temperature will not be hot or cold. The hand-held shower has also been adjusted in three levels, so that the foam can be accurately washed when washing long hair. The washbasin has been widened, and my skincare products are not crowded when spread out. The mirror comes with a defogging function, so I can tidy up my appearance clearly without wiping the mirror after taking a shower. The refrigerator of the mini bar is silent, with no buzzing noise at all. There are also two free bottles of local Shashi soda in it, which is refreshing and just relieves the heat after a day of browsing.

The next day, a cross-border video docking meeting of 20 people will be held, and they will communicate with the conference team one day in advance. They not only completed the commissioning of the 4K projection and special line cross-border video system in advance, but also prepared Hong Kong style milk tea and Guangdong style Dim sum according to the preferences of Hong Kong and Macao customers attending the meeting. During halftime, I had to make up for 8 stamped customs declaration documents at the last minute. The 24-hour business center downstairs processed them in just 3 minutes, and even the bilingual cover was prepared in advance, which did not delay the progress of the meeting. After the meeting, I sat down with my partner at the hotel's tea restaurant, enjoying authentic Hong Kong style shrimp dumplings and grilled rice with hot tea. The atmosphere was relaxed and appropriate, and the originally deadlocked customs clearance details were finalized in half an hour.
Breakfast completely follows the rhythm of business travelers, with meals starting at 6 o'clock, suitable for catching early high-speed trains and customs clearance trips. The freshly cooked Cantonese soup powder, hot Cha siu bao and freshly ground coffee can finish a nutritious dinner in 10 minutes. I went out early for two days in a row, and the front desk prepared the customized portable breakfast bag in advance. The sandwiches and hot soybean milk in the bag were just the right temperature, so I could finish them on the way to the meeting place.
